Ian loved to take photographs. You can still look at his award-winning photography by clicking on these links:

I could quote many sayings and words of comfort that were quoted to me over the weeks and months after we lost Ian. Here are a few:

“It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.”

“They can take away what you’ve got, but they can never take away what you’ve had.”

“When you remember your loved one’s smile, remember how often you were the reason for it.”

A verse written for Ian by my Dad’s friend Graham:

For Ian and Julie…

I know I’m only a fish
Swimming in your pond
But I know what’s going on
Cos I’ve shared your life and now beyond
You came to feed me
Sometimes twice a day
Boy am I going to miss you
Now you’ve gone away
You kept us going when we were down
You even bought our friends
When you went to town
I know you didn’t write
Your names on a wall
There’s no need to
Cos you’re always standing tall
Ian told me cos you know we used to talk
He never looked back
Even without the chalk
You know he loved us yes he loved us all
If we were big even if we were small
We have all got to say this
Cos we can feel it in our scales
When you have a love like yours
Life, Life never ever fails.
